I was puzzled at how he had managed to find an escape from this place, but I was glad that tonight would mean my way out of here, so I jabbed at the gruel a bit, realized it sort of tasted like chili, then had a few forkfuls before mealtime was done and we were dragged to the door, and led back to our cells.

That afternoon, I sat in my cell, picking at a crack in the wall while Gregory sat on his bed, mumbling to himself and rocking slightly. Suddenly, the orderlies opened the door, and led us both to a courtyard, where I could see that it was nearly evening. Most of the inmates were already out here, sitting, or walking, or keeping to themselves. I saw no doctors around, nor had I seen any so far, and no nurses either, just the two orderlies, along with a handful of other guards and a janitor. This seemed odd for an asylum, but I didn't worry about it for too long, as the woman from the meal hall was dancing on top of a bench and screeching like a monkey.

The orderlies rushed over to her, and after a moment, subdued her. As they were dragging her away, she suddenly sprung to life and bit one right in the arm. He yelped and let go of her arm, letting her get enough momentum to break free. She grabbed a club from one of the stunned orderlies and proceeded to start whacking at them with it, causing them to retreat. Other inmates by this time had gathered around to watch the scene.

Gregory took this time to disappear for a moment into a door, before coming out with armloads of fruit. Passing it around to the other inmates, he gave me a pineapple before standing on a railing and yelling "Now is our time to strike! Rise up brothers and sisters and take this castle back for us!" All at once the inmates started toward the orderlies, as I shuffled along with them. Gregory was wielding a banana, which the orderlies seemed very afraid of. Thinking I could at least offer my assistance, I threw my pineapple like a grenade, watching as it amazingly exploded like an actual grenade, causing enough commotion for Gregory to subdue the orderlies. After managing to tie them up with a large rope he got from somewhere, he turned toward the gate that kept them penned in.

The guards in charge of the gate prepared to use force to subdue the inmate army, but a burly inmate holding a watermelon started towards them, spun twice, and hurled it like a hammerthrowing athlete. Upon impact, it exploded, spewing watermelon bits everywhere, and somehow knocking the guards out, even throwing one partially through a window. Gregory hurried inside, pulled a lever and pressed a few buttons, and the gates began to open. The inmates cheered, and made a run for it.

"Thanks for your help!" Gregory yelled before following them, tossing his banana into the air and cackling like a madman. I quickly dodged it as it fell, and cautiously made my way outside.

All at once, I noticed all the inmates were hurrying for a small shack out in the middle of the field that was next to the asylum. Gregory was heading toward a guard's car, presumably to steal it and head for the city. I yelled "Hey Gregory, how do I get home?" He responded "Follow the road!" I looked to my left and there was a dirt road, which I quickly walked down, watching Gregory drive by in a rundown sedan.

I walked for a few hours before sitting down to rest. Looking around, I noticed it was getting too dark and I'd have to stop somewhere for the night. Walking another mile or so I found a seemingly deserted motel, with windows boarded up.
