The entire cabin was empty, except for the water heater, which was once again turned toward the movie screen. I slowly made my way up the aisle, and towards the front of the plane. I didn't see the flight attendant anywhere, and I had no idea where she had gone. I looked to my right and noticed the door of the airplane had a large sign painted on it that simply read "No." It was printed in big red letters, with a black circle over it and a slash through the circle.

I made my way towards the cockpit door, and once I reached it, I stopped and turned back around. Nobody was around at all, and I decided to try and talk to the pilot, in hopes that he could tell me when the plane would land, and more importantly, where.

As I opened the door, a strange smell hit me suddenly, bruising my cheek. It smelled vaguely like a combination of fresh citrus and extremely old ketchup. I turned to my left and noticed the flight attendant was strapped into a chair, staring blankly ahead toward the nose of the plane.

I looked in front of me and where there would normally be chairs and a control panel, there was only a table with a small glass dome on it. I walked over to the dome and heard the same booming voice from before, as it exclaimed, "Plan your Escape!™"

I was momentarily surprised, and as I turned back around, I noticed the flight attendant was still sitting in the chair, only now her hose-mouth had a small, mouse-like creature sticking out of it. The creature stared at me, retreated for a moment, then completely freed itself of her mouth and landed in her lap.

"What are you doing here?" it questioned, in the same booming voice that I now recognized had been emanating from it the entire time.

"I came to ask the pilot where this plane is going to land," I stated, watching the mouse creature stand up on its hind legs.

"Well, that's unfortunate, because the pilot is in his glass cage," it said, pointing towards the glass dome. As I gave it a closer look, I realized there was a tiny creature in the dome, frantically skittering back and forth like a frenzied squirrel. As I got closer, it moved even more frantically somehow, and I felt the plane lurch a bit.

"Don't get too close to it," said the mouse creature, emitting a booming chuckle.

"What is it?" I asked, moving away from the dome carefully so that I wouldn't disturb this strange thing, which looked pale and almost seemed to be glowing.

"It's the pilot, naturally," the creature said in a matter-of-fact manner, as it stared calmly at me, with a slight sort of grin on its face.

"Well, how will I know where and when this plane lands?" I questioned, looking out the window of the cockpit and noticing that there were clouds completely surrounding the plane in virtually every direction.

"You'll know when the plane is on the ground. Now, hurry back to your seat, as I believe a meal will be served shortly," the creature said, with a tone that was both foreboding and strangely calming. It turned, climbed up into the flight attendant's ventilation hose, and she became alert at once.

I walked back into the cabin and sat in a seat at random, not really bothering to pay the water heater anymore attention. Within minutes, the attendant made her way down the aisle, stopping by the heater. I watched as it sat in silence for several minutes, with her occasional questions doing nothing to convince it to respond. She almost seemed to understand it regardless, as she finally handed it a sandwich that looked suspiciously like tuna on rye, only the tuna was still alive, and the rye appeared to be made of fresh soil.
